Bosa
 

 

Bosa is one of the ancient Sardinian Sea capitals, and still conserve the signs of its past long splendor in the main ways and in the historical center, rich of churches and monuments. A beautiful lastricato course, small public squares that recall some villages of the Romagna, ancient palaces constructed in rose stone. Between main monuments of interest, we remember the Castle of Malaspina (1112), the medieval quarter of "Sa Costa", the anriche tanneries and the tower of Bosa.

 

But the greatest treasure of Bosa is its wonderful and incontaminatea coast (five sails in the blue guide of legambiente, quarter cleaner locality in Italy), with tens of beaches and a limpid and crystalline water. 5 Km in the south there is the beach of Porto Alabe, where we rent the apartments. Beside the foce of the river, the cale of "Sas Covas", "Poggiu ' and sos columbos" and "Poggiu ' and Padres". To north the coastal zone is much immensest and the natural atmosphere is wilder. Covering the Bosa-Alghero road are numerous the beaches reacheble only by car or, for most adventurous, through wild paths: "S' abba druche", Cumpoltittu, Tentizzos, Argentine Tower, Managu.
As far as the handicraft, Bosa is famous for the coral, the filigree of gold In the wine production is famous for the optimal Malvasia, while in the food Bosa it is famous for the lobster
The festivities in Bosa are many particular. Second Sunday of september is celebrated "Ours Mrs. of Regnos Altos" with a great traditional manifestation from the quarter "Sa Costa" to the Malaspina Castle. Characteristic also the bosa Carnival, whose moments more important are: the thursday "laldaggiolu", Sunday of Carnival (represents the birth of the carnival), fat tuesday with "S' Attitidu" (plants for the dead women of the carnival - the morning) and "Giolzi" (symbols of the carnival are burn during the night).
