Sveti Stefan is
the dream image you'll see on almost every poster advertising
Montenegro.A former peninsula fishermen's village, is today
a famous city-hotel, considered the most exclusive resort
on the Montenegro's coast. The old town, with its tower, narrow
streets, shops and small churches remained unchanged. Sveti
Stefan’s two beaches are among the nicest in Montenegro
It is situated an hour drive from the Podgorica and half-an-hour
drive from the Tivat international airport. At 7 km there
is the medioeval town Budva, famous for its beauty, beaches
and nightlife.

The coast is 21 km long with
17 beaches. It is among the most beautiful coasts in the world
and its beauty will not leave you indifferent. The waters
range in colour from the pale blue sea of Sveti Stefan and
Jaz beach to the rich turquoise of Kamenovo Beach and Drobni
Pijesak Beach, which lap against dreamy, olive trees and offer
idyllic locations to release any pent up tension. Have a look

| Budva, one of the oldest
settlements on the Adriatic coast; a region heavily influenced
and inspired by ancient Greek and Roman settlement, is rich
in historic monuments. Old town lies on a small peninsula
and represents a treasure chest of culture heritage. Crossed
with narrow streets and squares are famous buildings, the
Church Sv. Trojica, housing the tomb of the exquisite writer
Stjepan Mitrov Ljubisa, the Churches of Sv. Ivan, Sv. Bogorodica
and Sv. Sava. |

Budva hosts numerous local performances and shows from abroad.
In the Old Town you can also visit many shops, cafés,
restaurants and galleries. Budva has a colourful nightlife
(the Rolling Stones played on local Jaz beach in July 07).
Its open air clubs along the main pedestrian promenade are
extremely popular in the summer months. |
